Brussels city.

The client's wish was to have a pied-à-terre in Brussels, preferably in the form of a spatial, flexible residential unit.

In a historic Art Deco apartment building, a compact apartment was converted into a lighter unit. By partially removing the existing non-load-bearing structures and strategically working with mirrors, more open and multifunctional volumes were obtained. For example, the dressing room and hall can become part of the living space through movable panels. The laundry room also functions as a second bathroom.
